The term 'slow fashion,' coined in 2008 by sustainable design consultant Kate Fletcher, describes an approach to clothing and fashion that is at odds with the fast fashion cycle.Carl Honoré, author of “In Praise of Slowness”, says that the ‘slow approach’ intervenes as a revolutionary process in the contemporary world because it encourages taking time to ensure quality production, to give value to the product, and contemplate the connection with the environment.

Slow Fashion is the movement of designing, creating, and buying garments for quality and longevity. By adding transparency about the production process and educating consumers about the craft of clothes making, consumers will begin to understand what is required of producing a well-made garment.

Nemozena is proud to be a part of this movement, our goal is to go towards a long lasting vision of fashion production and consumption. We ensure that we use the highest ethical standards to produce thoughtful and luxurious pieces that withstand the test of time. Our garments are made with only the highest quality Italian fabrics from world renowned textile companies.

We also believe in seasonless clothes, collections that won’t look aged or out of date in a few years. Luxury is, in this respect, more sustainable as it presents consumers with garments that will last, rather than those of fast-fashion which will be thrown away after just a few months. We aim to design clothes that people will want to not only buy but wear again and again.
